Her Story

Glam metal and bubblegum pop come together in the music of Shaynie Rhoads, glitter-clad headbanger from San Diego, California. As a teenager she played in various rock bands, and was influenced by artists like Britney Spears, Metallica, Queen and Motley Crue. She began writing songs in college in an effort to capture her new experiences and the colorful, fast-paced lifestyle that came with them.

Her raw, soul-bearing debut EP “Dynamite” is a display of her music in its purest form, featuring only her voice and accompanying acoustic guitar. Her single, from which the EP took its title, was released shortly after, hailing as a rebellious, electropop-rock anthem with aims to break down genre barriers.

Shaynie Rhoads now plays throughout the country to continue sharing her music and inspiring other girl guitarists to own their place in the world.
